Events Committee - Interested in helping to plan one (or more) of the following events? Have a great idea for a new event? Let us know! Regular events include:
Sporting Events – Join fellow members at sporting events. (Sac Republic and Kings game events!)
Business Brown Bags - A regular mid-career professionals lunch meet-up. Members bring their own lunches and talk shop!
Golf Tournament – Our largest annual event, drawing out members from throughout the area.
Summer Picnic – The Summer Picnic & Sponsor Appreciation Day is a fun event where the Chapter enjoys a casual, family-oriented event. Sponsors are invited to mingle with members, friends, and families!
Design Awards – Every other year, this event spotlights and honors the work completed by landscape architects in our chapter.
End of the Year Event – We have a large year-end social every other year (alternating with Design Awards).
Advocacy – We promote and advocate for the profession by sharing the value of landscape architecture with our federal, state, and local elected officials as well as the general public.
Emerging Professional Group - We provide events and support aimed at professionals with less than 10 years of experience, including supporting those taking the Landscape Architecture Registration Exam (LARE) by providing lectures, workshops, and study resources. Find out more at our EPG Page.
Membership - We reach out to existing and potential members to learn how we can better connect and serve them. Find out more about our membership tiers on our Membership Page.
Sponsorship – We work with representatives, manufacturers, and other organizations to sponsor our chapter and events. Diversity in Landscape Architecture – We are aiming to proactively help landscape architects in our region be more educated, aware, and accomplished in achieving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. For more information, see our DxLA Page.
UC Davis Liaisons – This committee focus on supporting student programs and exposure to the field.
Public Relations & Communications – Support our chapter in spreading the word about our own events and in the community.
Climate Action Committee – We develop strategic initiatives to promote and encourage climate change action at the local, state, and national levels.
